Perking up the Week
So the first few days of the week started off rough, but then I got something in the mail that changed my mindset and gave me one helluva charge.
My book.
If you "won" NaNoWriMo and completed your 50,000-word novel, Lulu.com, as a supporter of NaNoWriMo, offered to print one free copy of the book. I worked up a .pdf of my novel, designed a cover, and uploaded it. I didn't expect a fast turn around, but in the middle of this week, I had a nice surprise waiting for me in the mail.

I realized immediately that I managed to botch the margains, and for some reason I didn't include page numbers. Since I didn't spend much time proofreading the text, I've found a few typos as well, but I don't care.
It's damn cool, dammit.

The book is pretty slim; I knew 50,000 words wasn't really enough to make up a full-length novel. I don't care. It's still dope.
And the cats seem to dig it, too.
